Beyond its stunning beaches, Hurghada also offers historical charm in El Dahar, the city’s Old Town, where you can wander through narrow streets and explore a traditional bazaar.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1 – Depart the UK

Day 1: Start your journey in Cairo

Arrive in Cairo where our representative will meet you at the airport and arrange a transfer to your hotel.

During the transfer, our representative will provide you with essential information about the country, review your tour itinerary, and finalise your pick-up time for the following day's tours. They will also confirm the designated meeting point in the hotel for you, ensuring everything is set for a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Check-in to your pre-booked accommodation. Spend the day exploring the local area and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of Cairo.

Day 2 – View the Pyramids up close

Day 2: Guided Tour of the Pyramids and Sphinx:

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and taken on a guided tour to Memphis, one of the oldest and most revered religious cities of Lower Egypt. Here, you will explore its open-air museum, which highlights the city’s historical importance. Then you will be heading to Saqqara to marvel at the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. As the first Pharaoh to have his tomb built on such a grand scale, Djoser’s monumental pyramid represents the strength and divine authority of the state. After a fascinating morning, stop over for quick lunch before continuing your journey.

Explore the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, built over 4,500 years ago. Marvel at the Great Sphinx and later visit additional nearby attractions if time allows.

After an enriching day, you will be taken back to your hotel to relax. Consider dining out at one of Cairo’s renowned restaurants or enjoy a quiet evening at the hotel.

* If you wish to explore the Pyramids from the inside, then tickets can be purchased separately. It is best to inform your guide, as they will be the most suitable person to purchase the entrance tickets for you.

Day 3 – Uncover History and Art treasures

Day 3: Guided Museum Visits

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Discover its extensive collection of ancient artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Marvel at the intricate craftsmanship of relics and gain insight into Egypt’s rich history through its fascinating exhibitions and displays.

After lunch, you will visit the Citadel of Cairo, an iconic historical site offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Explore the Citadel’s impressive fortifications and historical buildings, including the grand Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known for its stunning Ottoman architecture and opulent interiors. Wander through its expansive courtyards and intricate halls, immersing yourself in the rich history and architectural splendour. The Citadel also features several museums, providing further insight into Cairo’s past. Enjoy the panoramic vistas and reflect on the historical significance of this majestic fortress.

The day concludes with a visit to the bustling Khan el Khalili Bazaar, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture and shop for unique souvenirs before being taken back to your hotel.

Day 4-8– More sun awaits

Day 4-8: Take a flight from Cairo to Hurghada

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Hurghada

When you arrive in Hurghada, the representative will be waiting for you outside the airport building. They will transfer you to your resort, which will be your home for the next 5 nights. Make the most of the hotel’s amenities, including swimming pools, spas, bars, and restaurants. Spend your days unwinding on the beach or by the pool, and enjoy your evenings tasting the exquisite dishes at the resort’s dining venues.

For adventure seekers, there’s a fantastic array of water sports on offer, from windsurfing to kitesurfing. If you’re drawn to the underwater world, the Red Sea is perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving, with colourful coral reefs and diverse marine life just offshore. Prefer a change of pace? Head to El Dahar Old Town for a taste of history, or enjoy a leisurely stroll along Hurghada Marina, where shops, cafes, and restaurants line the waterfront.

*Flight time from Cairo to Hurghada is approx. 60 minutes.

Day 9 – Time to travel

Day 9: Time to head home

It is time to head home, but as you leave, you take with you the unforgettable memories and experiences of this remarkable trip. You will check out and transfer to Hurghada Airport, from where you will board your flight to the UK.

There are direct flights from Hurghada to the UK, or you can take a connecting flight via Cairo.
