The Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort is situated in Berenice, Hamata, directly north of the Ras Banas peninsula, a prominent harbour located 185 km from Marsa Alam airport. This ancient city dates back two thousand years in Egyptian history and is thought to be the largest pristine coral reef ecosystem in the world.

The resort features a private beach where you can relax on golden sands, enjoy the crystal-clear waters, and sip on your favourite tropical cocktail.

Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort has dome-shaped rooms with air conditioning and satellite TV. All rooms offer a private balcony or terrace and all modern amenities blended into the natural landscape of the rugged mountains and swaying palm trees.

Sunrise Marina Resort & Emperor Divers in Marsa Alam

The overall holiday was excellent value for money. Emperor Divers provided an outstanding dive experience on day boat trips to provide some of the most relax dives I have ever encountered at reasonable depths.

Orca Dive Club - Wadi Lahmy Azur

Wadi Azur Hotel

Orca Dive Club is located within the Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort. Not only are the off shore reefs brilliant, but the Orca Dive Club's House Reef is within 10km length in max which is 60m in depth that can be dived from 6am until 11pm giving you a fantastic opportunity to explore the virgin sites of the south.

The resort lies 5kms south of the small bedoiun town of Hamata and it is from the jetty in Hamata that their dive boats depart. Orca Dive Club organises a free shuttle service to the jetty which is only 5 minutes travelling time. Our very modern and comfortable rental equipment is serviced regularly in accordance with manufacturers recommendations guarantee a safe diving experience. There are 30 sets of equipment which is available to rent at any time. There is so much to discover on your diving trip such as rugged coral blocks, little canyons, cuts and caves can be found on the fringe reef with colourful reef fish and flora and fauna.

The Team at the Orca Dive Club Hamata has a permanent team of instructors that are all highly qualified and have years of diving experience at a PADI and CMAS level. Our team is happy to help and advise you every step of the way. They speak 3 different languages to help you with your journey (English, German and French).

Please Note:

When diving or snorkelling in Egypt, you must carry your passport with you at all times as it is a requirement for the boat permissions. Please also be aware that coastguards do carry out random checks and as such anyone who does not have a passport will not be permitted to join the boat. To dive at certain dive sites you will be required to get a Full Egyptian Tourist Visa



PADI Open Water Diver (Inc Equipment)

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Open Water Referral

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

You attain this rating by completing five pool dives and a number of knowledge development sessions with a final exam (which is not rocket science its just diving) and by completing four open water dives.

PADI Scuba Diver to Open Water Upgrade

This program will allow you to dive to depths of 18 metres and achieve the most popular dive program in the world!

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Adventure Diver

After your Open Water course, why not start a PADI Adventure Diver course and complete some 'Adventure Dives'? You can also take part in just 1 or 2 Adventure Dives if you prefer and these will also count towards the Advanced certification.

To become a certified PADI Adventure Diver you will need to have achieved 3 Adventure Dives with a PADI certified Instructor. These can be completed in as little as 1 day.
