Itinerary Overview

Arrive in the land of the Pharaohs where your tour guide will meet you at Cairo airport and take you to your hotel. On the way, he will discuss your itinerary and arrange your pickup times for the next day.

Unwind and take a stroll to the bustling markets. Enjoy the local cuisine.

Day 2: Explore the timeless allure of Cairo

After breakfast, you will meet travel to Memphis, the oldest and most religious city in Lower Egypt. Here, you will explore its open-air museum, which highlights the city’s historical importance. Then you will head to Saqqara to marvel at the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, which was constructed by Imhotep, the pharaoh’s chief architect in 2700 BC.

Continue your journey by visiting the iconic Great Sphinx at the Giza Plateau. The Pyramids of Giza, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, evoke a sense of awe and reverence, as they represent one of humanity's greatest and most timeless marvels.

The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore Egypt’s capital at leisure. Perhaps head to Khan el Khalili Bazaar, the ideal place for souvenir shopping or stop at a papyrus emporium where you can buy genuine papyrus at quite reasonable prices.

* If you wish to explore the Pyramids from the inside, then tickets can be purchased separately. It is best to inform your guide, as they will be the most suitable person to purchase the entrance tickets for you.

Day 3: Explore the Museum and Citadel

This morning, take a guided tour of the expansive Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, a 490,000 sq.m marvel. Explore a breathtaking collection of relics spanning almost all periods of ancient Egyptian history. Get up close to the ancient mummies of Thuya and Yuya, King Tutankhamun's great-grandparents, and marvel at the iconic funerary mask of King Tutankhamun. Crafted from solid gold and weighing 11kg, the mask was discovered resting on the mummy's head, surrounded by three sarcophagi.

Next, visit the Citadel of Saladin, a historic fortress offering panoramic views of Cairo, explore the grand Mosque of Muhammad Ali, medieval fortifications, and museums like the National Military Museum. Enjoy panoramic views of Cairo and immerse yourself in Egypt’s rich history.
