While you are there, consider soaring above the city in a hot air balloon for stunning views of ancient temples and glide serenely on a felucca along the Nile. You can spend your evenings by wandering though El-Souk (local markets), visiting local cafes and soaking in the rich traditions and daily life. As with other East Bank treasures in Luxor, they are all within walking distance if you're based on that side of the river. However, during the summer months, it can get very hot, so keep this in mind.

Day 1 - Depart the UK

Day 1: Ready, set and depart from UK, arriving in Luxor

When you arrive in Luxor, our representative will meet you at the airport and arrange ther transfer to your hotel.

During the transfer, our representative will provide you with essential information about the country, review your tour itinerary, and finalise the pick-up time for the following day's tours. They will also confirm the designated meeting point in the hotel for you, ensuring everything is set for a smooth and enjoyable experience.

This itinerary seamlessly blends immersive cultural exploration with moments of serenity, ensuring an unforgettable experience filled with insight.

Day 2 – Begin your adventure

Day 2: Soak up the history and architecture

After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at your designated time and drive you to your first destination, the magnificent Karnak Temple complex. Prepare to be awestruck by grandiose statues, towering obelisks and intricate hieroglyphics. Explore the vast Hypostyle Hall with its immense columns and wander alongside the sacred lake and colossal pylons. This sprawling site offers a profound glimpse into ancient Egyptian grandeur and religious significance.

Your tour will continue to Luxor Temple, where you will be captivated by colossal statues of Ramses II, the grand Avenue of Sphinxes and the impressive Hypostyle Hall with its towering columns.

After the tour, your guide will take you to your hotel, where you can unwind. You can explore local restaurants and spend your evening strolling through Luxor’s vibrant streets.

Day 3 – Day trip

Day 3: Abydos and Dendera

After breakfast you will take a day trip to Dendera and Abydos or for a truly unforgettable experience in Luxor

First, visit Abydos, about 135 km south of Luxor, where the temple built by King Seti I and completed by Ramses II features exquisitely preserved paintings of gods and pharaohs. Next, travel to Dendera, approximately 60 km north of Luxor, to explore the Temple of Hathor. Known for its impressive architecture and intricate reliefs, this temple dedicated to the goddess of love and joy offers remarkable insights into ancient Egyptian religious practices and art.

After the tour, your guide will drop you back at your hotel, where you can spend the evening at your leisure, reflecting on the day’s experiences and enjoying the amnesties in your hotel.

Day 4-7: Embrace the City Vibes

Day 4-7: Continue your journey through Luxor

Explore the highlights of Luxor's West Bank, including the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Temple of Hatshepsut, where the legacy of Egypt’s great pharaohs comes to life.

Plan a leisure day with your guide, visit Medinet Habu and the Workers Village. Unwind with a Felucca ride on the River Nile. Enjoy the tranquil waters, stunning sunset, and local Flavours, capping off your day with serene, scenic beauty.

Day 8: Return home

Day 8: Update your travel journal and head back to UK

After check-out, transfer to the airport for your flight back home after exploring ancient Egypt’s wonders. Direct flights operated by TUI, EasyJet and EgyptAir are available once a week. However, routes via Cairo are also recommended to take advantage of more frequent flights.
