Day 1 - Depart the UK

Day 1: Ready, set, travel to Luxor

When you arrive in Luxor, our guide will meet you at the airport and depending on your itinerary, you will either check into the Nile cruise ship or stay at an overnight hotel. The majority of cruises departing from Luxor typically have embarkation on Monday.

Day 2-8 – Just cruising

Day 2-8: Set sail on a 7-night cruise

Settle in and enjoy your first day onboard as you sail along the Nile, beginning your river adventure.

As you sail, you will explore iconic historical sites like the Temple of Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae in Aswan. With guided excursions to these incredible sites, you will gain deep insights into Egypt's ancient history.

Onboard, take advantage of various activities, amenities and dining experiences that add comfort and enjoyment to your trip. Unwind as you take in the serene river views, passing lush landscapes and traditional villages. Every moment onboard and onshore will make your journey through Egypt a truly memorable and enriching experience.

Day 9-14 – Explore Luxor’s Timeless Wonders

Day 9-14: Unveil Luxor: Your Next Adventure Awaits

After disembarking from the Nile cruise, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel in Luxor for a 6/7-night stay. (This will depend on when your tour started) Enjoy an extended land stay where you can immerse yourself in the city's vibrant atmosphere. Spend your evenings exploring local markets or simply relaxing and soaking up the charm of Luxor.

Luxor thrives in the legacy of ancient pharaohs, where its rich history is reflected in the intricate designs of antiques—a memorable piece of the city’s storied past. Shopping in Luxor’s souk is captivating, with each turn revealing new treasures. After browsing artisan stalls, unwind at a local café with a traditional mint tea or coffee, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.

Explore the highlights of Luxor's West Bank, including the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Temple of Hatshepsut, where the legacy of Egypt’s great pharaohs comes to life.

Many visitors enjoy taking a traditional felucca ride in the late afternoon or at sunset. These small, wind-powered boats allow for a more intimate and relaxing way to enjoy the river's beauty.

Day 15: Return to the UK

Day 15: Soak up the culture and make your way back to UK

After check out, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home after two weeks of exploring ancient Egypt’s wonders. Direct flights operated by TUI, EasyJet and EgyptAir are available once a week. However, routes via Cairo are recommended to take advantage of the more frequesnt flights as the Nile cruise embarkation day is Monday.
