Batur National Geopark Tour
Scanning the horizon from left to right, you will observe that Kintamani sits on the caldera rim of a huge volcano, and Mount Batur, directly in front of you, is merely a ‘small’ mountain that has been created by thousands of years of volcanic activity. You will visit Batur Volcano Museum, an informative museum that explains the historic and religious significance of the mountain as well as detailing the history of its eruptions. Enjoy a buffet lunch served in a local restaurant overlooking the volcano while you ponder on the mighty forces of Mother Nature that created this vista.
Toya Bungkah Hot Springs is the next stop on today’s itinerary. Located in the village of Penelokan, there are two natural pools at these hot springs and legend has it that the heated mineral water inside them is said to
cure all sorts of ailments. Enjoy a relaxing one hour massage and a soothing dip in the pools before returning to your island accommodation.
