Ancient Ubud & Rice Field Tour
Continue to Pejeng, a small settlement that is located in the Petauan River valley and famous for housing the Moon of Pejeng, the largest single-cast bronze kettle drum in the world. There will be time to see the drum, which is kept inside the Pura Penataran Asih Temple, and visit the interesting Purbakala Archaeological Museum. Also take in some smaller temples close to Pejeng including Pura Arjuna Metapa, which is scenically located in the middle of a rice paddy field. See the amazing rice terrace near the village of Tegalalang en route to central Ubud, where it is possible to have lunch (not included) and visit the town’s art market.
Known locally as Pasar Seni, this colourful marketplace has a wide range of items on display including clothing, textiles, leather goods and locally designed jewellery. Have fun wandering around and making the odd purchase but keep in mind prices are negotiable so remember to bargain for a fair one. Afternoon departure for your hotel or resort.
