Kurumba Maldives is host to a number of different accommodation styles, all 9 types of rooms and villas are unique and cater to each individual guest’s needs perfectly. Available in the resort is a children’s club for 4 to12 year olds, open daily from 9am to 6pm it also offers a non-qualified babysitting service available on request with an additional charge. The Kurumba Maldives boasts nine restaurants offering seven different cuisines including Japanese, Italian, Middle Eastern, North Indian, Asian, local delights and of course a beautiful fish restaurant. Whether it is an intimate candlelit dinner for two on the beach, an indulgent evening in a speciality restaurant or a buffet these are some of the choices available before you dance the night away in the beach bar with an exotic cocktail or two.

You can fill your day up with an array of water sports offered by Extreme Maldives, the onsite company, you can attain a price list on request. Offering experiences such as catamaran sailing, windsurfing, parasailing with platform boat, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, banana rodeo, fun tubes and sailing safaris with a skipper. If you are looking for a more relaxing time then why not try out one of the many treatments at the Velli Spa or enjoy many of the classes and beach activities that happen daily. There will never be a moment that goes by where you or your family will be bored! The resort’s PADI dive school is the world renowned Euro Divers. Specialist in their field and with over 40 years of experience the very competent, multi lingual staff will assist you in making the most out of every dive around North Male Atoll. From visiting Kandooma Thila an underwater mountain with quick currents creating a fantastic drift dive with huge schools of big eye trevally, to wonderful pinnacles and overhangs abundant with beautiful corals. Over on the eastern side of this wonderful dive site bat fish and green turtles can be spotted. They cater to all qualifications of diver from very experienced divers on holiday looking to explore the wonders of the Indian Ocean to absolute beginners wanting to complete their PADI Open Water Course and venture into the ocean for the first time.

Euro Divers Kurumba

Kurumba Maldives

Euro Divers is a 5 Star PADI dive centre located on-site at Kurumba Maldives offering divers a friendly, safe environment with a high standard of service. This well established dive centre compromises of four multi-lingual, knowledgeable instructors and a wide range of products which means the centre can professionally organise and guarantee you a fun and memorable diving experience whether you are a new or skilled diver. There are around 35 to 40 dive sites in this area including the wreck dive ‘Maldivian Victory’ and the well-known Banana Reef and Manta Point all offering fantastic diving and are just a short boat ride away. For divers that are keen to spot the Manta Rays in this area you need to visit between May and October.

There are a range of experiences on offer whether you choose an individual dive package, a beginner’s course or a course for experienced divers, Euro Divers has it all. All Euro Divers PADI centres provide courses as well as specialities and a wide range of excursion programs for divers such as daily morning and afternoon dives, early morning dives, night dives, special full day excursions, wreck dives, special hammerhead dives and much more. Nitrox is available in all centres and free of charge for PADI and NRC certified divers. Fluoro diving is now also an option at all the Maldives dive centres it is a relatively new development nonetheless a very mesmerising one, you are put in very small groups and equipped with special lights and mask filters which enables you to discover the reef by night. A very fascinating experience!

Euro Divers dive boats are comfortable and equipped with a sundeck, first aid kit, oxygen equipment (DAN) as well as with radio or mobile phones. In between dives the crew offers small refreshments on board.

Diving Courses:

Equipment is included in the courses listed. Manuals, certification fees and boat transportation are not included and will be charged at the dive centre. Manuals and certification fee costs around USD155 locally.

PADI Open Water Diver (Inc Equipment)

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Adventure Diver

After your Open Water course, why not start a PADI Adventure Diver course and complete some 'Adventure Dives'? You can also take part in just 1 or 2 Adventure Dives if you prefer and these will also count towards the Advanced certification.

To become a certified PADI Adventure Diver you will need to have achieved 3 Adventure Dives with a PADI certified Instructor. These can be completed in as little as 1 day.

PADI Bubblemaker

Experience scuba diving under the direct supervision of a PADI Pro. Take your first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6ft. For children who are at least 8 years old.

Become a Rescue Diver. A great level to be. You will have the skills to aid your fellow divers in an emergency.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

PADI Underwater Naturalist

Get a better understanding about the local ecosystem and the differences between terrestrial and aquatic worlds. See new things, even in the most familiar dive sites.

PADI Drift Diver

Drift diving can be relaxing and exhilarating. The course teaches you how to enjoy going with the flow as you scuba dive down rivers and use ocean currents to glide along.
