Ulysses is the perfect dive resort to start your diving adventure.

Ulysses Apart Hotel was designed and built specifically with divers in mind, situated above Moby Dives in the heart of Xlendi which is a wonderful picturesque sheltered bay with a charming seafront and waterside walkways. It boasts a very friendly atmosphere with clusters of gaily painted fishing boats bobbing on the water and wooden benches spaced beneath the trees this little town will bedazzle you with its quaintness. This family run hotel offers cosy, well-furnished accommodation at moderate prices with high level of comfort at any time of the year.

The hotel consists of individual rooms, studios and one bedroom apartments with a maid service and change of towels every 3 days. The Ulysses Apart Hotel also has a bar and a restaurant called The Captains Table on the ground floor offering breakfast, lunch and dinner or if one fancies, a couple of drinks after a good days diving!!

Moby Dives the on-site PADI 5* dive centre offers daily diving packages and all PADI courses. Ideally located in Xlendi Bay they have an excellent reputation for scuba diving, professionalism and organisation. The fully trained and qualified team will ensure you have a safe and secure dive experience whether you are new to diving or are an experienced diver. The waters around Gozo offer an enthralling underwater experience not to be missed.

All areas of the Ulysses Apart Hotel are also easily accessible to persons with special needs and there is a lift with accesses all levels. Other activities include the sandy and pebbly beach which is just opposite the hotel, for the adventurous it is possible to swim and snorkel off the rocks bordering the beach. This typical Gozitan fishing village hosts a number of fishing vessels and boats for visitors to go out exploring in, and the town offers all the amenities for travellers including restaurants, bars and souvenirs shops.

The one bedroom apartments consist of a double bedroom and a sofa in the living room that can be converted into a double bed. It can comfortable accommodate four people and has a living room and dining area. There is also a fully equipped kitchen for those nights when guests wish to eat in. There is a lift to all floors.

Moby Divers

Xlendi Bay, Gozo

Moby Dives is a 5* PADI IDC diving school located in Xlendi Bay on the island of Gozo. A long established dive centre the shop is beneath the Ulysses Apart Hotel and offers guests a wide range of scuba products from discover scuba diving right through to instructor training. The knowledgeable and fully trained staff have an excellent reputation for scuba training, professionalism, organisation and are on hand to ensure guests have a wonderful experience whilst diving in Gozo.It is a PADI rated diving school that offers a wide range of scuba products from ‘’Open Water’’ to ‘’Instructor development’’. All staff are fully qualified and trained to a PADI standard and have had great experience in the area for many years.

Shore diving accompanied or unaccompanied is also available and you will need to speak with the dive centre on arrival if you wish to do any unaccompanied shore dives. The centre has two modern boats, a 6 metres rib and a day boat which are equipped with drop tanks, first aid kits and oxygen these take clients out to a variety sites including Fungus Rock and Rozi Wreck.

Diving Courses:

All courses include equipment, certification and instructor services. Manuals are not included and will be charged at the dive centre. Manuals are approximately 35 Euros.

Equipment Rental:

PADI Open Water Diver

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Scuba Diver to Open Water Upgrade

This program will allow you to dive to depths of 18 metres and achieve the most popular dive program in the world!

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

PADI Open Water Referral

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

You attain this rating by completing five pool dives and a number of knowledge development sessions with a final exam (which is not rocket science its just diving) and by completing four open water dives.

Medic First Aid (EFR)

First Aid course - To be completed with Rescue Diver Course unless you already hold a first certificate (please bring this to the dive centre if you wish to complete the course).

This course is to teach you how to administer First Aid to a person. Various skills will be learnt such as CPR, types of injury and bandaging.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:
