Paradise Taveuni is located north of Vuna Point at the southern end of the islands just an hour scenic drive from Taveuni airport in Matei. This unique and the only deep-water frontage resort in Fiji allows guests to dive, snorkel and swim from the lava flow edge into pristine warm tropical waters at any time of the day or night. Paradise Taveuni is a divers dream with unspoiled reefs and diving only a few minutes away directly from shore, the marina or by dive boat with Pro Dive Taveuni. Accommodating a maximum of 20 guests Paradise Taveuni guarantees a secluded and tranquil holiday. It is the perfect spot for couples, honeymooners, families and single travellers wanting a unique Fijian holiday experience.

Dolphin Bay where you will find two black sand beaches with crystal clear waters is only a 10 to 15 minute walk but if white sandy beaches is what you are after then a trip to the local Vuna Village beach just 10 minutes’ drive from the resort is a must while staying at Paradise Taveuni. The resort’s drivers can drop you there in the morning or afternoon and pick you up when you are ready to return to your paradise. Vuna Village beach is the ideal place to take a picnic lunch with your loved ones and get away from it all.

Paradise Taveuni combined traditional Fijian architecture with contemporary design and standards to create 17 beautiful and luxurious bures. Each bure is hand built with local coconut and rain tree woods featuring the essential Fiji outdoor shower within your private garden. French glass doors open to a spacious deck completed with a Fiji daybed. Inside each bure there is a generous king bed, spacious lounge room and a modern bathroom.

The resort’s restaurant overlooking the pool with panoramic ocean views offers a blend of international and local cuisine prepared with fresh and organic local produce. Teki Teki Bar is open from 8.00am till late daily with a selection of non-alcoholic drinks, freshly squeezed juices and fruit smoothies for the health conscious. A selection of beers and spirits including cocktails are on hand with Australian and New Zealand wines also available.

When you are not diving and being amazed with Taveuni’s underwater treasures, Paradise Taveuni has a number of activities available to keep you entertained including kayaking, boat trips, hiking tours, cultural walks, waterfall day trips, village visits, rainforest hikes, mountain treks, wild boar hunting, horse riding, bird watching and of course there is the ocean front spa designed to relax and rejuvenate you.

Pro Dive Taveuni, is owned and operated by Paradise Taveuni located on the oceanfront of the resort. Diving with Pro Dive means you have fast access to scenic unspoilt Fiji diving including the world famous Rainbow Reef & White Wall. Here you are offered personalised and tailor-made diving experience and can enjoy the flexibility of the team’s versatility. The diving is done on request and if you want to dive Rainbow Reef every day, the team will dive Rainbow Reef every day.

The Pro Dive Crew & shop offers top quality scuba diving trips coupled with good diving equipment and professional local knowledge. The PADI instructors offer a large range of dive courses & safety is paramount at the resort.

Pro Dive’s team of PADI dive instructors and local Fijian dive masters, guides and crew take up to 39 divers on new custom built dive boats 'Paradise Princess’ accommodating 12 divers and crew, 'Lady Paradise' accommodating 22 divers and crew or if you are more interested in diving in small groups the 'Adi Vuki' accommodating 5 divers and crew.

PADI Open Water Diver (Inc Equipment)

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Rescue Diver

Become a Rescue Diver. A great level to be. You will have the skills to aid your fellow divers in an emergency.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

PADI Deep Diver

Explore deeper dive sites with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130ft. Learn to manage your gas supply, go over buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control.

Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:

PADI Drift Diver

Drift diving can be relaxing and exhilarating. The course teaches you how to enjoy going with the flow as you scuba dive down rivers and use ocean currents to glide along.

Along with drift diving techniques and procedures, you’ll:

PADI Night Diver

The underwater world changes as day creatures retire & nocturnal organisms emerge. If you've wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, enrol in the PADI Night Diver Specialty course.

Scuba diving at night teaches you to focus on what you can see in your light’s beam, on controlling your buoyancy by feel, on staying with your buddy and on paying attention to details you may overlook during the day. During three night dives, you’ll practice:

PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy

Observe aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings. Improve the buoyancy skills you learned as a new diver and elevate them to the next level.
