Blue Waters Inn

The perfect place for those who want to get away from it all.

The Blue Waters Inn is a beachfront resort tucked away in its own secluded bay amongst 46 acres of lush tropical grounds and 300 metres of gently shelving horse shoe shaped beach in Speyside, an area known to offer outstanding diving. The resort is far from Tobago’s tourist areas, surrounded by nature and the hallmarks of a true island life where you can immerse yourself in the magnificence of the Caribbean and enjoy the serenity and relaxation the island has to offer.

This boutique styled resort has just 38 rooms, all facing the ocean providing you with a view of the water that changes from a pale turquoise to electric cobalt and a silvery ultramarine as the day goes by. The rooms at the Blue Waters Inn were built to suit all customer’s needs and budgets with a choice of bungalows, standard rooms, suites and studios.

The hotel also has excellent proximity to many of the gems Tobago possesses. This part of the island is high on beautifully lush green rain forests with waterfalls, renowned bird watching and a beautiful underwater scenery just off shore where you can get up close and personal with an array of marine life including sharks, schools of tarpon and jackfish, sting rays, hawksbill and leatherback turtles and the largest brain coral which is nearly 5 metres wide. You may even get to swim with a majestic giant manta ray with wing spams of up to 3 and half metres. Blue Waters Inn Dive'n is the onsite PADI Gold Palm facility and they can guide you beneath the blue horizon to the fascinating underwater sites, just minutes away from the resort’s private dock.

When you are not diving, you can take advantage of the beautiful new infinity style pool, jacuzzi and surrounding wooden sun deck, all ideally located just a few steps from the beach. Pull up a stool at the beachfront bar and literally drink one of the resort’s signature cocktails in paradise. Daily lunch is served at “The Shipwreck” with tasty light servings such as wraps and salads or the delicious “Blue Burger”. Here you can also get some of the best lunch specials on the island (try the cow heel soup!). For those feeling adventurous and wanting to venture out of the resort for lunch, the famous Jemma’s Seaview Kitchen, is the ideal place. The main dining room of this funky eatery is a tree house resting on an Indian almond tree with views of Goat and Little Tobago islands. The food served here is concentrated on fresh-caught fish as well as chicken cooked in curry or creole sauces and served with huge varieties of hearty side dishes.

Please note:
There are no local banks and very few shops around Speyside. The resort’s great but remote location means you need to ensure you have all you need for a fun and relaxed stay at the Blue Waters Inn.
