Additional Information

The calm, clear, sheltered lagoon at Truk is relatively free from currents, providing safe, easy diving conditions and the Truk Lagoon ocean floor holds an entire Japanese fleet frozen in time, where it sank in February 1944. At Yap a manta dive does not mean diving hoping for a manta encounter, it means diving to see the mantas. There's much more to diving in Yap than just manta rays however Yap's outer reefs thrive with species of tropical reef fishes, invertebrates and corals. When coupled with the abundance of larger species like mantas, sharks, and turtles, it makes for some once in a lifetime diving.

Combining two destinations which are most definitely on the must do dive list is a faboulous way to create a productive and economical dive trip. If you have the time and funds we can add on a Palau liveaboard to the itineray too. Just ask our Micronesia specialist for more details.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1 & 2 Depart London Heathrow for Truk Lagoon

Depart London Heathrow for Truk Lagoon

Depart London Heathrow for Truk Lagoon at 20::30 arriving 10:08 local time 2 days later (flight time around 18 hours). Transfer (approx 10 minutes) to Truk Blue Lagoon Resort where you will spend 7 nights.

Day 3: Truk Blue Lagoon

Let the diving adventure begin!

The Truk Blue Lagoon Resort is an oceanfront retreat with magnificent views of the world most famous lagoon and surrounding islands just minutes away from Chuuk airport.

Day 4 -7: Diving Truk Lagoon

Diving Truk Lagoon

Enjoy 4 days diving 2 dives a day. The first dive will be a check dive. Diving the most infamous World War II wrecks around the bay. Including Giant ships of war rest in eerie silence among bombs, torpedoes, guns, tanks, planes, telegraphs, china, bicycles, shoes, trucks and giant 18” warheads. From their watery grave, these ghostly skeletons give shape to a unique underwater museum.

Day 8: Fly Truk to Yap

Fly Truk to Yap

Transfer to Truk airport and fly to Yap transfer to Manta Bay Hotel where you wiill speand 5 days and 5 nights.

Day 9-12: Diving

Start the diving with in-house Yap Divers.

Manta Bay Hotel, a dedicated dive resort designed by and built for divers. Included in the package is breakfast buffet, all diving, nitrox, morning wake up calls and airport transfers. Diving with Mantas and exploring beautiful reefs.

Day 13 Time to head home

Time to head home

Transfer to the airport (30 minutes) Depart Yap at 03:35 arriving London Heathrow via Guam and Manila at 19:35 on the same day including time difference (flying time is around 12.5 hours)
