The luxurious Atlantis Dumaguete is located on a long peaceful stretch of beach with out of this world diving close by including Apo Island, Siquijor and Dauin marine.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1 & 2: Depart the UK to Manila

Pack your bags and depart on a truly diving adventure.

Flights depart from Gatwick at 14:30 and arrive Manila at 16:15. Transit stopover in Dubai. Regional airports available upon request.

On arrival you will be meet by a member of the Ultimate Diving ground team and transferred to your hotel where you will stay for 1 night.

This hotel is ideally situated near the airport and has many entertainment opportunities on offer, both within the hotel and the surrounding area.

DAY 3: Transfer to Puerto Galera & Check In

Check in at the Atlantis Puerto Galera, your home for the next 5 nights!

You will be picked up from the Belmont Hotel and transferred to Puerto Galera.

The resort is a bustling, boutique style hotel located three hours from Manila on the northern tip of Oriental Mindoro Island. The resort is accessed by van to Batangas and then by boat to Sabang Bay in Puerto Galera.

The resort has forty guest rooms and suites elegantly designed to give you maximum comfort, privacy and relaxation throughout your stay. Toko’s Restaurant offers daily chalkboard lunch and dinner menus as well as themed nights full of flavour and fresh local products prepared to an international standard. The residential “50 Bar” is the evening spot for great music and to meet new friends.

Photographers will enjoy the muck and macro diving at the local dive sites and also the wide-angle photo opportunities at Verde Island.

Day 4 - 7: Daily Diving

Puerto Galera offers divers a varied range of dive sites. Your diving package includes 2 dives a day. Additional diving available upon request.

The local sites within five minutes of the resort are a mix of muck and reef dives, with the reef dives done as either drift dives or simple back and forth approach depending on the current.

Day trips to Verde Island are not to be missed, you will dive a large sloping wall covered in soft corals. You can see large schools of jacks, sea snakes, frog fish and many nudibranchs. There are many reef dives available for advanced divers with faster drifts that occur due to the underwater topography and tidal movement in the area.

The Alma Jane artificial wreck in Sabang Bay is a great early morning dive, it is 45m long and at a max depth of 31m. There is great opportunity to experience massive diversity at this location with a mix of reef, wreck, pelagic and drift diving. This really is an outstanding and range full dive destination.

Day 8: Transfer to Manila & Flight to Dumaguete

After a few days diving heaven it is time to travel to your home for the next 6 nights, the Atlantis Dumaguete Resort.

The Atlantis Dumaguete is a luxurious dive resort located on a long stretch of sandy beach on the southern tip of Negros Island. Dumaguete is accessed via a daily flight of around one hour from Manila.

The resort has forty sea view rooms nestled in lush tropical gardens. Toko’s restaurant and bar is right on the beach offering a unique dining experience using local products and flavours. The bar has an extensive list of cocktails, shakes and coffee.

Photographers will be mesmerised by the critters on the local sites and the guides will ensure you get plenty of time to snap that subject as you wish! Also pack a wide-angle lens for Apo Island.

Day 9 - 12: Daily Diving

Dumaguete, or Dauin as the location is often referred to, offers some of the best macro dives in the world.

The black volcanic sand in the area is home to a massive range of critters.

The formidable dive guides will chaperone you through a somewhat amazing dive experience. The guide’s skill to know the local habitats of those hard to find tiny creatures is absolutely paramount when visiting a place like this.

Further afield dive sites at Apo Island are deeper walls and will stir up excitement as you dive to see some larger pelagic animals, schools of jacks and barracudas. Also available are some local dives at Siquijor and whale shark excursions to Oslob.

Day 13: Day at Leisure

Day at leisure and the perfect opportunity to explore Dumaguete City.

We can help you organise a range of tours in Dumaguete to keep you well entertained during your dry day. If you are looking for a relaxing day, why not try the Atlantis Spa and enduldge yourself in one of the many massages they have on offer.

Dumaguete has a wealth of places to explore; spend the morning shopping at a local market and experiencing the the local culture. Try a city tour, or enjoy a day in the mountains and take in the lush tropical countryside, natural pools and waterfalls. Dumaguete also has golf courses, a modern mall or local shops to buy souvenirs from. For those wishing to just take it easy take a look at our Spa pages and indulge yourself.

Day 14: Return Home

Time to pack your bags, says your goodbyes and return home!

Your return home will start shortly after checking out with a transfer to Dumaguete airport for your domestic flight to Manila.

The international flight will depart Manila at 23:55 and arrive Gatwick at 12:35 the next day. Transit stopover in Dubai. Regional airports available upon request.
