At Bohio you'll find icing sugar white sand, tropical turquoise waters and as much tranquility or adventure as you care to seek. Dive or snorkel from the boat or right off the beach just a few steps from your room. Then lounge with a cocktail or take one of the yoga classes as the magical Caribbean sunset lights up the evening sky.

This intimate resort offers 16 rooms, all with beachfront views and terraces.

There's plenty to explore outside the resort too, with charming Cockburn town just a short walk along the shore. It’s a peaceful haven for wildlife and water lovers, retaining all the sleepy charm of its colonial past, but coming alive at night, with its colorful beach bars and musical inhabitants.

Bohio resort has a full PADI approved in-house dive operation, catering solely to their guests. <

The Bohio Dive Centre is a PADI 5* establishment whose philosophy is to make sure guests experience the best of Grand Turks diving. Catering solely for Bohio guests with friendly, professional, local and international staff looking after small groups of divers.

The highly qualified PADI instructors and dive masters cater for all levels of experience. The protected sandy bay is perfect for introductory courses and peering over the wall, which plunges to more than a mile deep is a rush for even the most experienced diver. Offering Discover Scuba, PADI Open Water Referral and PADI Advanced they also offer an array of speciality courses which include Deep Diver, AWARE Fish Identification, Underwater Navigation and Search and Recovery to name just a few.

With the wall just a few backstrokes from the dive shop, the unlimited free shore diving as part of your dive package will be a genuine bonus as will the abundance of tropical fish, rare black corals, giant mantas, stingrays, dolphins, turtles, sharks and even the chance in the winter months to spot humpback whales and their calves!! Leave the crowds behind and join the ultimate Caribbean diving experience.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving – just the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course.

  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills – just the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course

  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore – just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course.

PADI Open Water Diver (Inc Equipment)

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Online Open Water Diver

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The Online PADI Open Water Course was recently launched by PADI and enables you to complete the theoretical training and knowledge development sessions online and then take the final exam and complete the confined and open water dives in resort.

This is an exclusive opportunity we run with Inmo Divers in Dahab. The cost of the online section is 120USD and can be completed within on the PADI E-Learning website .

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

You attain this rating by completing five pool dives and a number of knowledge development sessions with a final exam (which is not rocket science it’s just diving) and by completing four open water dives.
