Filitheyo Island Resort is a modern and stylish four star hotel located in the unspoiled Faafu Atoll just 40 minutes from Male international airport. This resort offers spacious contemporary accommodation located on the edge of the dense and luscious vegetation of palm trees, rubber trees, mangroves and scaebola trees at the heart of an exotic island. The outstanding reef runs through the entire length of two sides of the island and eventually meets at the western end with seven entry points. On the northern edge, entry points can drop over 90 metres into the blue and give divers the amazing opportunity to have close encounters with eagle rays, white-tip reef sharks and snapper right on the reef edge.
The resort offers a choice of excellent accommodation which has been designed to ensure guests go home with the best Maldivian experience. All bungalows blend in harmoniously with their natural surroundings. There are 15 deluxe villas, 94 superior villas and 16 water villas all available on a full board or all inclusive basis. Diving experiences around the resort are rich with abundant fish life, majestic caves, overhangs, wonderfully colourful coral and pelagic marine life. Well known dive sites in the area include Filitheyo Kandu incorporating 3 smaller dives Filitheyo Thila, Filitheyo Outside and Dolphin Corner all exceptional for novice and experienced divers offering a range of dives from 10 to 30 metres. On these dives alone blue lined snappers, eagle rays, moorish idols, napoloeon wrasse, oriental sweetlips, stingray and triggerfish to name but a few can be spotted.
