Lagona Divers - South Dahab

Happy Life Village

Lagona Divers is located at the Happy Life Village only a few steps away from the jetty leading directly to the house reef that is teaming up with beautiful coral and a great abundance of reef fish.

The dive centre is open year round from 9am to 6pm or when the last customer leaves the premises. But your daily diving experience does not end there! Lagona Divers has a “Apres Dive” policy which is a very important yet relaxed policy where customers and dive guides can exchange their experience and diving adventure so far. After your dive, guides are happy to meet you at the terrace for the chilling out time or indeed the time to organise one of their “Wadi” parties where you can enjoy local specialities such as Shish Kebab, Tahina and the typical Bedouin bread.

Dive trips (by jeep or pick up) are organised as half day trips including 1 dive or as full day trips with 2 dives at one or two different spots. All spots north of Dahab including the Blue Hole are offered as full day trips. You can also take advantage of a full day boat trip (presently on Mondays) on-board of Ghazala VI to dive sites that are difficult to reach from shore like Gabr el Bint and El Shagarat. Please note that a surcharge will be applied on the spot if you decide to go on this trip.

Diving on the house reef can be done with a buddy and without the guide if you have more than 30 logged dives as the jetty guarantees safe and direct entry and exit to and from the dive site known as the Golden Blocks.

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
